The 2018 Vivaldi Amarone della Valpolicella is a powerful red wine that showcases the intensity and richness of Amarone. This wine is made with a blend of Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara grapes, which are carefully selected and dried for several months before being pressed and fermented. The result is an intense and complex wine with aromas of ripe black cherry, fig, and dark chocolate, followed by a palate of dried fruit, tobacco, and sweet spices. The tannins are firm yet silky, providing a great structure that leads to a long and satisfying finish. Overall, the 2018 Vivaldi Amarone della Valpolicella is an exceptional wine that embodies the best features of this unique Italian region.
The Vivaldi winery was founded in 1950 by Vittorio Vivaldi, a passionate wine enthusiast, in the heart of the Tuscany region of Italy. Originally, the winery was a small family-owned business producing only a few thousand bottles of wine per year. However, with the dedication to quality and constant innovation, the Vivaldi winery grew rapidly, becoming one of the most respected and renowned wineries in Italy. Throughout the decades, the Vivaldi family has continued to expand the winery and improve their winemaking techniques and technology. Today, they produce an impressive range of wines including Chianti, Brunello di Montalcino, and Super Tuscan blends. Their winery also boasts a beautiful tasting room, vineyards, and a cellar that is home to some of the finest wines in the world. Now under the leadership of Vittorio's grandsons, the Vivaldi winery carries on the legacy of their founders as one of the premier wine producers in Tuscany.
