Chinched
From Their Website:
Chinched Restaurant & deli is a labor of love for co-owners Shawn Hussey and Michele Leblanc. The pair have travelled the eastern seaboard together throughout their culinary careers and happily made St. john’s home 12 years ago after living on Fogo Island for 2 years.
My Review
This is a small venue on Bates Hill. Location is new and modern with a downstairs and upstairs seating section, like many restaurants in St. John’s. We enjoyed the food, location, and most everything about the evening. The plates are certainly meant for sharing. This is a great location to hang out with friends and enjoy some great food and wine. We started with a Grilled Charcuterie, bone marrow, and of course like anytime I am in a coastal city, 12 oysters on the half shell. The meat was plentiful, portions large and excellent service. I would rate it on the cost front at about $$$. We would certainly go back, and I would recommend. Also had a lovely Erath Pinot Noir from Oregon that blended across many of the different dishes. For someone that like heartier fair great locale.
Awesome charcuterie board
Amazing Cod dish
Hand made deli selection
The wine that accompanied Dinner: Highly Recommend

Pinot Noir Willamette Valley Estate Selection 2016
Floral cherry, mineral and pomegranate aromas open to delicate orange zest and spice flavors that finish with refined tannins. Drink now through 2023. 5,801 cases made.
