CCPT 2025 Season – Event 10 at Tony’s Poker Palace

November 26, 2025 – Full Event Recap & YTD Breakdown**

Event 10 of the Carleton County Poker Tour rolled into Tony’s Poker Palace on November 26, 2025, and the night delivered everything CCPT fans have come to expect—rivalries, wild momentum swings, super-push madness, and one of the most even money distributions of the season. Every player walked away in the money, and yet the leaderboard order and year-to-date standings tightened further, setting up a dramatic final stretch for 2025.

Event 10 Recap – Tony’s House, Tony’s Night… Sort Of

The action opened hot, and the story of the night quickly became the tight clustering of points.
Asbell led the evening with 17 points, putting in one of his most consistent runs of the season with solid placements across all four rounds (5–7–4–1). His top-of-table finish in the final round pushed him over the edge, earning him the $50 nightly top payout.

Right behind him was a three-way tie for second in event points:

  • Keith – 15 points (3–4–7–1)

  • Joe – 15 points (2–6–6–1)

  • Luc – 15 points (6–3–5–1)

All three had nearly identical point arcs, and each locked in $40 of winnings. For Joe and Luc—locked in a season-long rivalry atop the YTD winnings chart—this tie did nothing to cool the heat between them.

Tony, hosting Event 10, put up 13 points (4–2–2–5) and picked up $35. His comeback win in the super-push round—after multiple ties allowed every player two full re-entries—became the story everyone talked about. The entire table got a second lease on life thanks to the bizarre chain of tied all-ins, and Tony made every chip count when it mattered most.

Duane and John each posted 10 points and walked away with $30 and $10, respectively. Duane’s strong Round 1 (7 points) set the tone for him, while John’s Round 2 spike kept him competitive through the night.

And then there was Dave—the unofficial eighth star of the night. While Dave isn’t a main-tour points player, his massive hand early on shifted the entire table dynamic. His fearless push created a pot that flipped the  momentum. It will be remembered as Dave’s big night.

In total, all seven players finished in the money, a rarity in CCPT and a testament to how tight and dramatic Event 10 truly was.

YTD Rivalries & Gross Winnings – The 2025 Battles Continue

The yearly earnings race is turning into the most competitive in CCPT history.

  • Joe remains the 2025 money leader at $430, but Luc is right behind him at $420, closing the gap to just $10.

  • Tony sits comfortably in third at $350, but with a home-court Year-End Event coming, he’s far from out of the chase.

  • Pete ($285) and Asbell ($265) remain in striking distance, with Asbell’s Event 10 win boosting him at the perfect time.

  • Mark ($180) and Tyler ($130) remain steady mid-season competitors.

  • John ($120) and Keith ($90) have shown huge highs and unlucky lows, but Event 10 proved they can stay in the fight.

  • Duane ($80) and Al ($70) round out the field, both looking overdue for breakout nights.

Net Winnings – The Real Profit Race

When you factor in entry fees, the story changes dramatically and new rivalries appear:

  • Pete leads the net-profit standings at +145, making him the stealth assassin of 2025.

  • Luc follows at +105, the most efficient high-roller this season.

  • Joe sits third at +80, proving consistency matters.

  • Tony remains dead even at $0, a dramatic stat considering he’s third in gross winnings.

On the negative side, a new rivalry has emerged:

  • Keith (-155) and Duane (-165) are battling to escape the cellar in net earnings.
Both are capable of big swings—and both badly need one.

Leaderboard Swings – A Season of Changing Momentum

Event 10 reshaped the standings yet again.

  • Joe reclaimed and maintained 1st place, holding the top position since Event 6 and refusing to let go.

  • Tony now sits in 2nd after a long climb from early-season 8th.

  • Luc, a former multi-week leader, now sits in 3rd, keeping pressure on the top two.

  • Asbell, once as high as 1st, now sits 4th—but his Event 10 win proves he can still surge.

Further down:

  • Mark stays consistent in 5th.

  • Duane holds 6th, a stable but frustrating place.

  • Keith climbs slightly to 7th after Event 10 success.

  • Pete, Al, and Tyler remain in the lower tier due to missing early events—but all three have shown flashes capable of shaking up the playoff picture if they attend the final events.
